His guys were sophomores and freshmen mainly. It shows you had bad the talent was when he got here. Yeah, he had some faults, but you guys still don't get that it was a cesspool of junk when he got here. Most of you don't understand what NFL talent looks like on a college field. Strongs track record everywhere else speaks for itself. You keep acting like this is some football factory. This school has no money for football.

You are blatantly lying. We had to start Freshman and Sophomores because Charlie kicked all of Willie's guys off the team. Do you not remember this?

Very clearly and Willie's guys were not very talented. Chuck did make a mistake with roster management and QB's. Willie left nothing, but a few decent seniors. Just look what he did at FSU and look at the results. Strong should have  been fired for his performance and roster management.

I don’t think he claimed it was his winning percentage it was the percentage of places he was successful at, there is a difference and they can both be true.

Calculating a winning percentage based off of 3 stops is dumb. It would work better is he had 4 or 5 stops.

If players get kicked off a team it's probably b/c THEY have an attitude or behavioral issues. No coach will simply kick good players off a team for fun. Taggart's 2016 class failed us all and cause this shift in luck. Once Flowers, Deadrin Senat, and Bruce Hector graduated, we lost our heart in offense and defense. We had to play young players and transfers. And you best believe, the same players CCS brought here will bring us success these next two years under the guidance of CJS.

Puc stole my thunder, that was his point.  I would agree with Great-outlaw and you, overall CCS had a decent HC record however his last 2 stops were failures, he came out of the gate hot however he faded like a cheap shirt and looked inept, disinterested and completely lost the last couple years, if he was a horse it would be time to take him out back.

disinterested? you are being kind frisco. he looked miserable on the sidelines. a couple of my cynical friends thought he wanted to get fired just by his body language

It was a cesspool of junk when he got here, and he left it a cesspool of junk when he got his walking papers.

Anyone who thinks Charlie Strong is an even decent head coach has been sniffing too much airplane glue during quarantine. The man is a complete loser and destroyed two programs before taking a consultant job because that is the best he can get. He will never ever be a head coach again.

At the risk of inciting some wrath, Mitch was pretty complimentary of Bell and the offense he ran getting him prepared for the next level ....

Read into this what you will, but I don't hesitate to bash Strong, Gilbert, Bell and Jean-Mary all over Twitter and Mitch's mom Carole is always liking my tweets.  hmmmmmmmm

He over-performed at Louisville with  Bridgewater. He took the money and bolted to Texas. He was so bad in Texas, they paid us to take him because he was terrible and over-matched. We took the bait and paid him to leave as well.  Getting fired and bought out early from your two of your 3 head coaching jobs is not an indicator of a good coach.

xCCS getting money from Texas reminds me of this speech from Bill Beane when he tells David Justice the Yankees are paying him $3.5 million to play against them.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

“This is not a broken football program by any means. It just needs to be united, to get everybody on the same page, share that same vision, and really to have that standard - best is the standard.”
