Little or nothing is exactly what the Spring Game would have been had we not moved on from Charlie

True True. CCS was a 3 year disaster... But, the "Bummer Charlie" reference wasn't about our past coach. I see by your pic you are of a newer generation. That's an old comment often used during the 60's(that would be 1960's not 1860's).. to express a downer moment or something that is considered negative. There you go a learning moment.. :-}  An elder illumination moment... 👨‍🌾 Exciting hey?  Information that you could have lived without.....                  I figured NewEngBull might get it since he was born on the cusp of that era.

I would’ve thought it had some origin in the Vietnam war. I’m sure seeing the Vietcong was pretty much always a downer

That era. I'll bet many a US serviceman over there referred to Charlie but prob with much much better expletive...Likely something that was anatomically impossible

Not all, but many.  I’ve had three homes out here, each had grass yards.

By the way, most of the weeds I’m pulling are in rocks that are spread around the trees.  Yeah, trees too!
