Bulls Welcome Kamille Jones as Newest Assistant

Head coach Jolene Shepardson has announced Kamille Jones as her new assistant coach.

 

TAMPA, April 15, 2020 - Head coach Jolene Shepardson is happy to announce Kamille Jones as her new assistant coach for the USF volleyball program.

Jones heads to South Florida after serving as a volunteer assistant at the University of Texas at San Antonio earlier this year.

In 2019 Jones served as the head coach of the Gardner-Webb volleyball program.

“Kamille is the perfect fit for my staff. I am thankful to have her. She is a problem-solving, detail-oriented, thoughtful, driven, young professional,” Shepardson said. “There is no doubt she will be a wonderful role model for our student-athletes.”

Jones spent the 2018 season as a graduate assistant coach at West Texas A&M University, helping lead the Lady Buffs to a 19-13 mark.

The Fort Worth, Texas native finished her collegiate career at West Texas A&M in 2017, earning Lone Star All-Conference honors while leading the Lady Buffs to a NCAA Division II tournament appearance.

Jones began her collegiate career at Murray State University, helping the Racers claim three straight Ohio Valley Conference titles and make two trips to the NCAA Division I tournament.

The upcoming season will mark the first year for the USF Volleyball program under the helm of former standout player and new head coach Jolene Shepardson.
