Will the Hurricane change game plans?

Recommended Posts

Talk about a crummy schedule.  WVU ends their season with two Wednesday games followed by a Thursday.  Earliest we would be able to make it up would be 12/3.

Suppose we could win that game and we end up at 6-5.  Would the bowl bids already be out?  Could we get snubbed for an at large bid to one of the lower tier games because we become eligible so late?

There is no way to know when Bowl Bids will go out this early.  The BCS has to wait until Sunday, December 4th.  That means a lot of bowl games will be waiting to ensure that there are no rematches or things like that.

One thing, Louisville plays AT Connecticut on Sat 12/3... so  there could still be some question about Big East bowl teams at that point.

most likely usf will wait till the last minute, if u remember last year during one of the hurricanes every other school in the state closed and usf waited till the last possible second to announce they were staying open.  don't see anything different here, although this decision would affect wvu and whoever was traveling down for the game so who knows

The problem is that many people are coming from out of topwn so waiting until the last minute will affect cancellations of flights and hotel rooms.

I hope we play AS scheduled. Why?....

Because it's gonna take tropical storm force winds to make Pat Julsucke's passes hit their target.

There is NO WAY they play the game as scheduled. And how could you with a good conscience go to a football game when a hurricane is sandblasting some poor town 100 miles away?

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
