From Rivals, Laquincy Rideau signs with an agent

BullsInsider.com has confirmed that Laquincy Rideau has signed with Andre Buck of the Arete Sports Agency (which was created by Buck).

A starter in all 31 games this season, Rideau averaged a team-high 32.6 minutes per game. He ranked second on the team and No. 16 in The American in scoring with 12.6 points per game, was first on the team and No. 4 in the conference with 4.2 assists per game, ranked No. 2 in the league and No. 10t in the NCAA with 2.5 steals per game and finished the season with the 10th-most steals of any player in the NCAA with 77. Rideau recorded the second-most single-season steals in school history with 77 and, in just two seasons, ended his career with the third-most career steals in American Athletic Conference history with 178.

If by hating you mean stating undisputable fact then yes I must be a hater.

Focusing on indisputable negative facts while totally ignoring, or giving little acknowledgement to, the more, indisputable positive facts does indeed make you a hater ..... but we get it, bry, that's your shtick.

One of the things that I thought about all season was that Rideau wasn't able to work on his game during the offseason.

He had leg injuries during the CBI, stress reactions I think they're called, wore leggings for circulation help.

Then he was in a boot for a while and the rest of the offseason was rehab. He didn't even play during the Canada trip.

That article brought up his stats during the last five games and they made me think, because they are impressive. If he averaged 6 assists and 2.4 turnovers for season, like he did in the last five games, I think the Bulls finish above .500 overall and in the conference.

Since he played so well late I just wonder how not having an offseason of more player development and working out with his teammates affected his play.

While I'm happy he hit the game winner in his final collegiate game, it doesn't change the fact that he was one of the worst offensive guards in the NCAA last season.

  • 3.3 turnover per game (T63rd most in the country)
  • 56% free throw shooter
  • 29% three point shooter

So when I ask the original questions its because its something fans of whatever overseas team he plays for is going to hear, unless he winds up playing for a coach who can actually develop his skills.

And you, for some reason, feel compelled to lay all that out in a thread about one of OUR GUYS chasing his dream of playing professional basketball? Check yourself. That’s no way to go through life.

I don't feel compeled, but do want to rebut your opinion with some facts.

What exactly was my opinion? That you’re a hater? I offered no opinion about Q’s viability as a pro. But I didn’t feel the need to tear him down.
