Meh...our current government has no problem propping up coal and agriculture with taxpayer money, why stop there?

Yeah the wife and I won’t be getting anything but don’t they give $500 to children or something?

If that’s the case, it will go into my son’s savings account (he’s 18 months old) and he can decide what he wants to do with it in 17 years.

I believe it's $1200 as long as you make less than $75k a year. $2400 and $150k for couples. $500 a kid under 18. But, I learned on Facebook that since "Trump isn't my president" I have to give any money back.

Golly gee if that were true, there'd be a lot of money given back.

Another 80s phrase, the "politics of personal destruction" comes to mind.

I'd rather back off funding pet projects for political benefit like agriculture or abortions.  Less is better.  I see no reason to continue to double down on government spending.  But, that probably makes me evil.  Limited government is preferable.

Conservative's ultimate goal has always been to make cruelty seem like a virtue. We don't need smaller government,  we need better government.

Government’s ultimate goal is to grow unsustainably and convince people to continue to give up their freedoms in order to be supplied things they could handle better themselves, we do not require a Leviathan Mr Hobbes and we would be better off without the crushing hands of big government.
