So, how many conservatives

Recommended Posts

Oh, I get the difference between the media and their preferences for presidents.  If the media were removed from the convo, the facts would indicate the current president acted faster than the previous president.  Having a potential outbreak has occurred before.  Seems the difference in this one is how easily spread.

Quick question. Will this virus spread even with social distancing? And if so are we just prolonging the inevitable and tanking the economy in the process? where are we gonna draw the line that says we just gotta live with this?

Distancing and barricading one's self in the back room is to slow the spread so that hospitals/equipment/med staff are not overrun.  Between now and a vaccine it will spread, but hopefully at a slower rate.

That's the question.  When is slowed enough?  Throwing the baby out with the bath water is a no go.  At some point, we're going to have to get back to life.  That means people take care of themselves.

I'd bet the same number of conservatives will return their money as big corporations will decline their bailouts on principal. Got to keep the government out of business and you absolutely can't have American taxpayers footing the bill for handouts.

And letting those big companies fail is the absolute textbook definition of capitalism. But, we'll forget about that and pretend its not the case, like how trickle down economics has literally NEVER worked in American history...

Since the only reason I qualify is because I haven’t filed last years taxes(Yay for the filling deadline being pushed to July too); I plan on taking that money and buying a bunch of supplies for my neighbors who lost their casino jobs 2 weeks ago. After the initial shock We’re starting to get busy with people looking to buy security film. My office assistant had his hours cut and my installers are making a little less, while busy enough to survive we’re still slower than normal for this time of year at the moment, but thankfully my salary has yet to be effected. So while as a Centrist I’m not 100% on board with these payments I’ll at least put mine that I don’t need to good use.

Not for everyone.  I was literally pulled from poverty because of the availability of employment.

We should have allowed them to fail in 2008-09 when they put themselves in a position to fail.  Right now the US govt is putting them into that position.  I'm not actually taking a position on today's economic mess, but a government commanded shut down invites responsibility on behalf of that government.  True capitalism wouldn't have so much government influence and involvement.

So conservatives don't want to give these bailouts, they have to because of Obama... that's genius...

Let me rephrase, trickle down economics has been a complete failure on the nation-wide level every single time it has been implemented in the last 40 years. I'm am not the least bit surprised it has worked out for some individuals.
