Pretty much any coach we get here has a better chance of winning a conference championship than Rutgers has of winning the Big 10; college football is far more qualitative than it is quantitative and no one is trading going 7-5 in the SEC and playing in a better bowl than  is available in the AAC for winning an AAC championship (which is available for 50 bazooka joe wrappers) and trip to Birmingham. What we accomplished in 10 short years was one of the greatest miracles in college football history and it’s sad that people can’t accept how wrong they were despite how much it gets proven year after year and coach after coach.

You have no evidence that CJL would have done any better than we are right now. In fact it’s just as likely we could be worse. Most certainly you are suggesting that we would have been in a better conference and that is fantasy talk.

I have every evidence that we would have done better as we had a better overall average by leaps and bounds, we were always moving up under CJL and still had a better record and each coach that has replaced him has only one time gotten to the plateau we dreaded while now facing garbage competition. CJL would have mopped the floor with this conference as it has been disgustingly lead by a team that couldn’t sniff a win against him and in his final year we were recruiting in the top 25 in the entire nation now this year we celebrate almost making it to the top century mark.

No we were not ALWAYS moving up with JL...do the research before making that statement. At best we were plateauing.

We hit the ****** when we hired Skip but the other coaches did not have the JL advantage of being able to recruit for a national championship.

No evidence at all JL would have “mopped the floor” in this conference. In fact he still can’t get a HC in a lesser conference as no AD believes in him as a successful coach.

It’s almost as if when people publicly assassinate your character it makes it harder to find a job, people keep hiring him for coaching gigs so it doesn’t seem to be the coaching that is the issue.

Humm...there is a coach in the state of Mississippi who came back. It is possible if you have the credibility.

I think the song is about unleashing the inner you and not holding back, not about forgetting atrocities.

Saying someone hit a player is not quite the same as saying someone put a kid with a concussion into a dark room but thanks for playing.
