Stumbled across this among my twitter feeds and after reading parts of the Fire Mohl thread

And of course the other connection to USF:

Wow...just wow. He was very good here. I always liked his demeanor as a coach and was sad when he left. Well I guess he did make a few more bucks. Would you take him back???

Brought this up last year when we were struggling so.  They were terrible in conference last year.  I don't know much about their roster.  But he shook up the coaching staff a little, moving Current to a Dir. of Ops position instead of Asst. Coach.  Lost the series to Clemson this weekend.   That's not going to fly up there in SEC world for long.

I'm not completely convinced that last year would have been drastically different under Kingston

He's certainly getting in enough talent to have a good team.

2020 - 6th

2019 - 39th

2018 - 22nd

I don't know if it is as bad as it looks. Two of their four losses came in extras (to Northwestern) and the other two were in this past weekend to Clemson. I don't follow them enough to know and it looks like his talent might be young looking a the recruiting rankings. Maybe they are a couple of breaks from being 9-2 ot 10-1 and his young talent will come along as the season goes.

Warren Nolan has them as a fringe regional team this year.

Fringe regional may not keep him around for long there

You guys that are baseball fans should check out Pennant Chase. It's a website that does fantasy style baseball but you can play in million different leagues spanning all of baseball history. Some are all-time, some are just 80s, etc. etc. Has a draft and is continually playing.

"For me, I never considered it that way (as a stepping stone), honestly. When I was offered the head job at South Florida, and I'm sincere about this, I never thought I would ever go anywhere."

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
