Yep.  A 67% increase over 3000.

It was pretty loud.

I don't think it was fair to have it in Conn every single year.  It should have been rotated.  I know the attendance numbers wouldn't have been as good, but its like UConn needed any more built in advantages.

I wonder if the other schools were happy to have UCONN host it as it would be a money loser for anyone else?

1.  Not necessarily.  Nobody will get UConn crowds....But you don't think we would get a crowd at the YC if our team was playing in the Conference Championship?

2.  I remember when we played Louisville at home in the NCAA's for a trip to the Sweet 16 on the line, and the Sun Dome was electric.

1.  The consensus opinion here on TBP seems to be that American Conference Titles are meaningless, so why would you expect big crowds crowdS at all the games?

2.  It was a good for the Louisville game (5014 announced 😃), however it was the Cards (they have a big fan base, bigger than any AAC team besides UConn). and it was the NCAA Tourney not the AAC.   Big Dance vs Sock Hop!

BTW,  the attendance was better for the first round games UL vs BYU, and USF vs LSU. 5560

How big of a draw would the ACC Tourney be if was held in Jacksonville, without a Casino!

Based on the number of fans from the northeast who attend our games here (mostly those who have moved to escape the taxes implemented by those whom they've elected) and those who want to take a vacation to escape the cold, I would think attendance would be decent.  It would be nice to give it a try, at least.

Of course they were, it’s all about the money.  Why did the vote for it, if they weren’t happy with it.

Are you aware it was’t held at the UConn on campus arena (Gampel Pavillion),  or at the larger XL Center in Hartford where they also play home games.

You should get away from campus more!  There's some nice things within a short drive.

Lakeland could possibly work at the place the Lakeland Magic play at. All NBA arenas would be way to big and Amelie Arena would also be way to big. An arena that holds 5-8k would be ideal

The only time I’m on campus is for USF WBB events.
What nice things are short drive away.  Of course driving means renting a car, or Ubering. Remember the greatest number of WBB fans are Senior Citizens.
