Its February, so we are starting to come down the stretch of the Hockey Season, figured I'd start my yearly Lightning thread.

Early in the season, they did not look like the same team from last year, but the last month and half they have been playing great hockey and have moved up in the Standings considerably.  They are solidly in 2nd place now in the Division, and inching closer and closer to Boston.  

This team has what it takes, I just hope they stay healthy for the playoffs and don't flame out again!

With the Vipers looking like crap, and the BasketBulls only average this year, this is the best thing going on right now in Tampa.

Those were some especially gritty wins against Columbus and Pitts the last 2 nights.  Very impressive really.

Getting concerned about the Injuries piling up though, hopefully none are real serious.

The higest level affiliate is the Syracuse Crunch.  Alot of really good current Lightning players have developed through that team.  Quite a pipeline!
