Well, there goes one of the few reasons to go see this team play.

Yeah it’s too bad. But let’s face it, he does not have the arm. I wonder if he will run out of the wildcat at times?

I think QF has a chance sometimes this season.. We will see how hard or how often they will rough on passer.

Because its Aaron Murray, many felt it was possible. Murray isn't the same gate appeal as QF and right now the XFL needs eyeballs any way they can get it.

The XFL teams (like all sports teams) care way more about winning and good football than they do about gate appeal. He is still on the roster and will still get some touches. If you were only going to watch Q play QB then they probably never really considered you a fan anyway.

I'm not sure why QF would be a bigger draw than Aaron Murray who played his High School ball right down the street at Plant High and then played at an SEC school in college.  Ultimately winning games is what will draw fans.

You're probably right, but while I think this version of the XFL has the potential to stick around longer than the original, I don't think a guy who built an empire around getting eyeballs is going to depriortize gate appeal and risk his $500M investment.

Besides after seeing what QF did in 2017 I think he would be exciting to watch in the new age of mobile quarterbacks.

I would like to watch him play QB too and let's be honest, there is probably still a package for his skillset.

To the other point, i think VKM learned his lesson about the difference in sports entertainment and sports. I think the inclusion of men like Oliver Luck is a sign of that. If he tries to bring in gimmicks for gate appeal, then this league, like the first time around, has no chance in hell (pun very much intended.)

Winning games is a sum zero game for McMahon who owns all the teams. Whatever fans he losses from a losing team he'll have to get from teams that are winning, unless he can sell a product in a market where people will watch or go to games even if they are a losing team.

All the more suprising for Tampa to be 1 of the 10 teams selected.
