Looks like we need a home-and-home with an FBS team in 2022 (home) and 2023 (away). UCLA has an openning both years and they have shown the willingness to play AAC teams (e.g. Cincinnati)

ucla would be very convenient for me

i will get back to going to games this year

scott has remotivated me

the texas game is the same weekend as our big vegas convention so i cant go to that one

Someone needs to go out to Utah and go Sonny all over him.

Heard last night that he is already wearing out his welcome at Utah.

With the PAC12, Big 12 and the Big Ten all playing 9 conference games its going to be tougher to schedule games against those conferences. The SEC and ACC currently schedule only 8, but 5 ACC teams also play Notre Dame every year. Our P5 scheduling options also take a hit when P5 schools want to schedule each other as well as cupcakes (which technically we could be right now lol).

Right now our best options for scheduling P5 games may be the SEC and ACC when teams aren't playing Notre Dame in the same year, and I think our schedule is starting to reflect that.

Those conferences playing only 3 out of conference games are also discussing playing no more FCS teams. If that happens it becomes a wash.

I'm not sure if CJS is going to be around 4-5 years from now, but since he is the next man in line hired to take  us to the next level, he definitely has the schedule to do so. Our out of conference schedule is looking nice. If we were to ever crash the playoffs, 2024 and 2025 would be the year to do it. Add in 2 to 3 ranked AAC opponents and we have a strength of schedule that might be able to get us in. The years 2021 to 2022 is a good 2 year window  to make our first NY6 bowl game.  Jeff Scott said he wants to win championships, he has plenty of opportunity here. The  youngest QBs on our team are Jordan Smith and Katravious Marsh. So maybe one of them leads the charge to our first national title in 2024 or 2025 😎

The only way I want to be playing Alabama and LSU in the same season (2023) is if we are in the SEC West! And even then we will be the Rutgers of the SEC.

Buttgers with SEC money 🤔

Collect the check and do what you got to do. Seems like the only decent option in 2023 is to schedule an SEC team. I wouldn’t schedule MSU again, they’d probably cancel. Pitt could be an interesting opponent
