Just my opinion but I don't think he risks having that conversation after he accepted the job here ...

But he was still working there

Definitely into a gray area but he was also working here and I would think it'd be dicey having a conversation, no matter how vague, with a player about landing places, of which you are now the coach of a potential one,. when he hadn't officially entered the portal.

Then you really don’t understand the dynamic of a coach/player relationship. Especially not given the circumstances at play here specifically

Do you think his conversation(s) with Fortin began and ended with a solid commitment in 8 days?

I understand the dynamic of a coach who preaches squeaky clean when it comes to recruiting. All I am saying is that I don't see CJS having any direct conversation with Brice about leaving, that in any way could be considered tampering, AFTER he became our head coach and BEFORE Brice declared.

I have no idea .... maybe CJS was very compelling in a short amount of time. I also have no idea why you responded to my post with that.

With our recent verbal from the Miami QB, I don't think Bruce comes here.

I would love to get him and if CJS can get him here that would be a HUGE improvement in recruiting then we have had in the past. Lets hope our 2nd big name transfer QB works out better than BB. Sad how BB ended here being injured and on a losing streak.

He would be best qb ever to come to usf

He would be the highest rated.  Best would remain to be seen.
