His initial plan was taking them all to the trophy case to use old conf trophies as motivation but someone had forgotten to inform him ...

The number of people that would prefer and AAC championship over getting to number two in the entire nation is confined to a handful of posters on this board and the only reason they feel that way is because we haven’t done the one and we have done the other.

Frankly, puc, we agree on this but I'm not sure that we are in the majority on this one.  I'm quite sure we are alone on a few others 😁

Being #2 a decade ago for 120 hours is about the most useless unimportant thing that has happened in the history of sport.

Last time I checked there isn't a "flash in the pan" trophy. I want hardware.

I'm guessing that reasoning works for both ends of this spectrum. To some, not having a conf championship anywhere, you start looking for your best moral victory .... and I'm not one saying I'd trade that #2 for an AAC championship. That was an awesome 6 week run and I don't think an AAC championship will be as special, for me anyway. I'm just saying that clinging to that blip in time like an 80 year old silent movie actress clinging to her "glory days" is kind of pathetic.

It would have been interesting if CJS had had the choice on which to draw inspiration from .....

I wouldn't argue with anyone whose immediate goal is to win the conference.  It makes sense.  It just doesn't appeal to me personally.  I don't value the conference and actually hate that we are in it.  But to each his own.
