CJL has the most wins, highest winning percentage, and the biggest wins in our program's history. This should be easy to see that our program did not improve but regressed significantly without him.

It seems patently obvious to anyone looking at it with any form of objectivity (yet for some reason the people with every single piece of empirical as well as all of the anecdotal evidence are painted as the unreasonable ones) ; I feel like I was just having this conversation with someone in real life last night.

The sad part is chuckles has the second highest win percentage.

Of the day we fired CJL.

A day of mourning and great sadness for the USF Nation, betrayed by the USF administration.

Puc86 speaks the truth, he is the High Priest of Leavittism.

It really is quite comical (in a very sad and dark way) and yet people still want to argue the point.

It is a labor of love, just as soon as I am given my better and breaking on past the plateau I will begin my efforts to get over it. Unfortunately there has been 5 coaches, a losing record, losses to an FCS team, getting beaten by UCF on the regular, almost no wins of note (amazingly Skippy has the second most) and just about every horrible and imaginable pox upon us (I even put lamb's blood on my door way yesterday so that the angel of death didn't kill my son) and yet people sit back and say today is the day it all gets better and CJL wasn't that good. They should feel shame but they they lack self awareness and critical look necessary.

Almost like there are other factors than win percentage that make a great coach.

The only people that think that are people that have worse records

Leavitt is the horse that leads the field until the final turn then gets passed. Gotta win the ones that matter in October and November.
Plus as you astutely noted he loves Pepsi.

And yet Leavitt can't even get hired as the head coach at FAU.  I wonder why that is?  #mediocrity

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
