Best thing about CBG is that he seems to really care about USF and the program. The coach took time to thank the fans for their support. He gave thanks to the cheerleaders and band for showing up as he mentioned that they didn’t have to due to their school break.

If we can ever start to have some breaks go our way, this guy is going to do things with hoops teams at USF that we’ve never seen. He’s the real deal. See you all next Saturday for the UConn game.

He is the complete package. We are lucky to have the guy.

the program seems to be on a decent track but we clearly need more talent

now that conference play starts we will see where we stand

no matter how much he cares he needs to win

Just after the 4 minute mark he talks about the turnover of players over 2.5 years.  Only Collins and Brown were on that team.  There is much more talent but there will be more to come.

Losing an all conference player and an his experienced back up is going to make winning more than 7 conference games pretty difficult. If the recent injuries to David Collins and Antun (don't know how to spell his last name) linger or are worse than expected, then winning more than 4 conference games are going to be pretty difficult.

Winning is definitely important, they do keep score in each game after all, but the change in the program and its culture has been amazing when you consider the flaming turd sandwich CBG inherited.

When Yetna was injured I read a "What does it mean" article and there was a very poignant part towards the end of the article. It was something like:

Let us not lose sight of how far the program has come in two seasons under Gregory and his staff. In the recent past there have been USF players who missed all or most of a season and after the initial disappointment at that news, fans just moved on.

Times have changed in Tampa. There are fan expectations now.

The BB program is so cursed.  Just when we have all the momentum and excitement coming off of last years CBI championship team, we take a kick in the gut with these key injuries.  We never seem to catch a break on the BB side (even the Women)......Hopefully our luck will change at some point.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
