means nothing as urban coached in big boy leagues while leavitt  was mired in the minors

urban improved as a coach

leavitt regressed

You are absolutely correct. Leavitt was lucky to get the USF job and he pissed it all away.

Had he stayed at Colorado versus going to Oregon....he would have made about $400,000 less for 2 years and would have still been fired.

Well, Jim might have been the difference for that Colorado staff had he stayed.

It was kind of funny that time when @The Sheriff created a thread about Slapperty McChokerton:

usf's first coach that did a great job as the first coach but he couldnt win consistently and he let his ego get the best of him

eventually the allegation goes he struck a student athlete

usf football is still evolving and is bigger than one person

Levitt, just like Taggart is probably tired of moving around. I think its a good situation fir him.

I was being sarcastic and forgot to followup with another post.

In all seriousness,  the CJL days wer A LOT of fun.  Especially, attending games in person.

That being said, probably the minority on this but glad we didn't hire him and don't really care what he thinks,  where he goes, or his future endeavors.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
