No. Not at all.

He probably regrets not taking the Alabama job. Twice.

the alabama job was just as a placeholder while they were on probation. Mike shula took it and went 10-2 in his 3rd year and was fired. that place was a mess

Moore praised Shula on Monday for providing "stability for our
program through four years of NCAA probation" that ends Feb. 1,
2007.

Shula was fired after a 6-6 year, not after going 10-2, which was his only winning season in four years at Alabama.

I think Leavitt has done well all things considered.

You may say....well how happy would he be with the DC job at FAU but he is only 3 hours away from his 94 year old mother.

It's slightly closer than FSU.

Had he stayed at Colorado versus going to Oregon....he would have made about $400,000 less for 2 years and would have still been fired.

Had he stayed at K-State as a DC in 1995 and taken some other job.....who knows how that would have played out.

they were on probation

nobody in their right mind would take a job when the school is on probation.

Shula was a QB there and they still fired him. he has never had a HC job again.

it was career suicide as far as being a HC and Leavitt knew it.

Leavitt couldn’t carry Myers jock from a coaching perspective (all things considered relating the role). Just a reality. I like Leavitt but he’s at least 2 rungs below Myer. I think it’s safe to assume Leavitt considers himself to be pretty lucky and appreciative for all that he has achieved.
