I am not sure if it is allowed or not but there have been plenty of times waiting for big games, tent city, and for the 9-2 2002 football squad where someone I know or I had a beer (even nickleback had some beers before one of the Florida games.) The only problems I ever saw were for underage drinking but like I said that does not mean there is permission.

We tailgated before a basketball game last year, but we made sure it was alright ahead of time with the appropriate people  Basically, for that event, they said to make sure that any beer was poored in a cup and no underage drinking.  That doesn't mean it would be the same for any event, just mentioning a smaller scale function from recent history.
