When you're spending half your time kissing babies and shaking hands and the other half game planning for Clemson of course recruiting is going to take a hit. I have a feeling the game plan is to hit the portal hard this year. And then build/strengthen recruiting bonds with local h.s. going forward.

This may win over Corey and have him return

We have time.  Scott has been recruiting for Clemson, so he knows what they passed on but would be a good fit for USF.   I trust him.  I am sure he has been in touch with the coaches such as Shaun King about recruiting.

great point here

Man CJS better have a master plan for this class.

he got hired recently

not much of plan can be implemented

i will towards next years class to see real talent

i still think our team will vastly improved because of better coaching, game planning and play calling and better in game adjustments

I'm going to hold CJS to the SAME standards you all held Taggart and CCS to. Taggart and CCS had every move scrutinized. So far, i'm not impressed. Hell even Taggart at FAU landed himself a 4 star player his first week.  Also this year I expect to make a bowl game as well.

To be fair, can you name a move that CCS made that turned out to be successful?

The early signing day started in 2017.  Neither xCWT or xCCS has to deal with that when they first arrived.  So, YOU can hold them to the same standards, but the situation is different.

First season CCS had 10 wins. He is the first coach to finish out a FULL season including a bowl game with 10 wins. :) Something Taggart, Levitt and Skip Holtz has never done. Either way like I said, Taggart and CCS had EVERY move they made scrutinized and doubted from day 1. I'm going to make sure CJS receives that same energy and hold him to the same standard that we did for Taggart and CCS.
