Big East teams battle for Gnat

Louisville has been a long-time leader for three-star defensive end Rodney Gnat but with the way the season for South Florida is going, it appears with an offer the Bulls could definitely be a huge factor.

While Central Florida has been the main in-state competition for USF, it appears that Gnat is interested in taking a Tampa trip. In fact, when the Florida defensive lineman saw USF put a big win together against UCF, it definitely opened his eyes.

"I thought UCF would have been above them, but they handed it to them and I was really surprised when they beat Louisville," Gnat said. "They're an up and coming program that I think could be in the Top 25 in two or three years."

Gnat has his Louisville visit set for Nov. 12, but it looks like the Bulls are in the running along with Minnesota and Indiana for the others.

If a USF offer comes, things could get interesting for both Big East teams.

I'm surprised that Gnat is not wanting to be a Gnat  ;)

I wouldnt expect an offer anytime soon on gnat.  He hasnt been having the best year, and some are beginning to back off.

Oh, took me a sec to figure that out.   ;)

Not to kill the conspiracy theory but John Paul is a DT.

but seriously I heard that from a pretty credible scource about a day or so ago.

Belive me or not but if the kid still doesnt have an offer they are obviously waiting to see what he does this season, and now that we're half way in and still no offer-I think that alone speaks for its self.

speaking of D-ends I saw two that I liked more than Gnat.  I was at the Jesuit/sarasota booker game.

Jesuits Nick placensia and Bookers Joel Jones are names not a lot of people know but they are two of the best ends ive seen.  neither have an offer from the Bulls but those are names to remember ;)
