Quiet true and UT would dominate which is what they would want. This is who I truly feel both TU and OU will stay put (thus no expansion) because their conference has an easy path to the playoffs almost every year.

Pretty much, they are already one of the largest fish it was intentionally  a small pond, they are interested in making the best for Texas and not the best for a conference because they have shown they are just fine basically on their own. I am pretty sure they would love to lose Oklahoma and bring up the next lower level Texas program.

We trust you.   The aac is still garbage and the fact that Memphis beats up on aac teams every other year does not make them world beaters

Not arguing that the AAC is great at all. The conference is what is. But I believe that it is still better than the old Cusa and currently better than any any G5. Of course none of that is difficult to do and being the largest shrimp is nothing to be happy about. But, in my opinion, we will be here for a while. The best that could happen is the Big12 implodes and we are a part of another left over conference.

I'm definitely coming out to whatever McNeese we open with at home next year!

That would be Bethune-Cookman.

The only problem is if OU leaves they “may” need to get a comparable team to come on board to keep their P5 status. In my opinion I could see TU day F it and go on as an independent. They have the brand and the tv network to pull it off.

Pac 12 and Big 12 keep getting left out.   There will be serious expansion talk when new contract comes around

More than likely between each of the P5 schools. I could see there being three super power conferences one day. Not sure if the G5 schools add any value there. Maybe there will be some leftovers we can latch on to that will be better than our current situation but not a power conference.

They are getting left out because they are not getting many undefeated, one loss, or two loss champions who have beat quality opponents. Do you put them over a team with a better record and more quality wins? The option is 8 or 16 team playoffs. 8 is more realistic.

Would love the 8 team playoff. But the G5 addition for one of the spots would “probably” be something like a top 10 ranking. I think that has happened once (ucf) and I still think the bias of the committee would keep the G5 out. I always liked the computers better as soon as a committee was used we were all screwed.

Renewed.  If you factor out the 7th game last year, mine increased 20%.  If you just call it the season no matter how many games, my increase is 8%.  Can't complain especially with the price freeze for 2021 with Florida in Ray Jay.

GO BULLS!

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
