DC is an important hire for him. Scott is an offense guy so will need a solid D

Hey, I know a great defensive coach that has a history in Tampa and built a program from nothing...

*ducks*

Looks like he was a one class wonder at USF - or maybe he took online courses 🤦‍♂️ He played four years in Missouri from 1975 through 1979 and somehow graduated in 1979 from USF (WTF?). At the same time, he was an assistant coach at Desoto County high school in 1979.

If he does, I'm sure that CJS will have a tremendous amount of influence on the offensive scheme, so I'm not that worried.

I think this is mostly in an effort to help retain recruits and keep some sense of continuity on the staff. Kerwin is currently the leading recruiter in the AAC in terms of commits.  It would essentially be a 1 year trial. If Scott likes him, great. If not, see ya.

Guest Jonesy Bull

Do we get the Assistant Coaching news at the Press Conference which I believe will be scheduled tomorrow sometime?

I would imagine most of that is being finalized today if not mostly already.  Its important since there is only another week or so of recruiting?  Things should be coming fast and furious.  Exciting times!
