Presuming that Jeff Scott be named the next USF head coach, who would you like to see as assistants?

For me (I don't have any names):

An OC that knows how to get speedy skill position players out in space

A DC that plays aggressively

I'd like to see King retained.

I wouldn't mind an O-line coach with ties to the mid-west that might be able to bring some good linemen down.

I would personally like to see Scott send KB on his way and get his OC.  I don't want that to be a forced marriage. Wouldn't mind BJM staying but we will see what happens with his ,mentor. Although he won't have a better opportunity than being our DC.

The reporting last night suggested that Scott would bring several Clemson coaches with him (giving them a promotion obviously), as well as his dad (a USF alum).

Anything is possible, I guess.  He could avoid most of the media spotlight and concentrate on coaching.  I'm sure the new coach will have a good idea who he wants when he gets here.

His Dad went to Missouri... not sure where else I read that he is a USF alum... however he played football at Missouri.

Well missouri S&T, but I think he left and actually graduated from USF. He may have only been here for one semester, but I have read from multiple accounts that he did graduate from USF.

Keep an eye out for Cortez Hankton (UGA WR coach) to become the OC. He has a relationship with Scott, and hiring someone he trust to be hands on with the WR’s will be of utmost importance to Scott. I fully expect the OC to have a strong background with the WR group

Edit - I’d be pretty surprised if he doesn’t keep Shaun King as well. He’s coming from Clemson, a program that prides itself on retaining coaches and building a foundation of guys who love the program.

He has to keep king if he wants to stay. can't let his recruiting ties to the area walk.
