Thanks for the reply. I wasn't aware of any of that. Certainly can't see how that would any kind of negative.

Think that is a positive as it may help keep Jeff Scott in Tampa longer than people expect.

Offense coach at FSU during their championship years. Graduate from USF. He went on to become South Carolina ‘s coach where he didn’t succeed

And he and his family are from Arcadia, so he is a Florida guy.

Wonder why he wasn't successful at SC.  Although nobody seems to do well there, except for maybe Spurrier.  And even he, although somewhat successful wasn't able to win Championships there like he did at Florida.   Hard to compete in the top heavy SEC.

I used to live near Columbia and at least for me, Columbia is not that great a place.

Never really followed SC football so I have no idea why. And totally agree with you that it's hard to compete in the top heavy SEC.

again clemson wasn't very good when he got there. there are very good now in large part due to his recruiting. we don't have to have a top 10 class nationally to win in the AAC. we just have to have top classes in the AAC.

Now it is and of course, as long as we're G5 and their P5 it will always be easier, but it wasn't that much easier when he started there.

What are you talking about?  It's just like Pasco County, Florida ... I see both on Live PD all the time.

I can't imagine that Clemson, SC is that much of a happening place either, but they seem to be doing something right.

But SC has to play an SEC schedule, so it is a different animal.
