I was one that thought it was time to move on from Leavitt, I was wrong. Wish we had kept him, I would be in favor of hiring him back as HC.

I appreciate your honesty....most of that ilk left the program altogehter amid the destruction.

I'm 100% ok with someone other than xCJL being our next HC.

It is attributable to this crazy misconception about the terms of his settlement with USF for his wrongful termination. Part of the settlement stated that USF didn't have to consider him for any jobs if he applied. This was just a CYA provision slid in so that he can't say that he was discriminated against or treated unfairly in any hiring process. The University could EASILY waive that term of the settlement agreement and allow him back. I don't know how or why this misconception that he is forever banned from USF continues to persist.

I owned up to this as well. I was one of the “he’s taken us as far as he can” guys. I was wrong. I took all of the early success for granted and wanted more...sooner that was realistic. He was a victim of his own success to a certain extent. The “incident” just made the decision easier for the previous administration.

I'd love to have CJL back at HC.  I just hope, at a minimum, Kelly thoroughly considers it - if he does his homework and ends up going another direction, then so be it.

I'd really be happy if they atleast offered him an interview. Kelly may decide to go a different way, but I think it could atleast start the healing process to get him on campus for an interview. The man built the program.
