Well does that still fit? USF could use some news. Some spark. Some life. No third assistant from any P5 or HC from FCS is going to do that. The program may not hold up waiting another 3-4 years to see if the right guy was hired. Bringing Leavitt back would be savvy, but not a move for the weak kneed, but a bold move - with the greatest potential for payoff. If USF hires Leavitt, the first game's attendance will be minimum 45K and donations for the IPF will be through the roof. Not to mention all the recruits that may flip over with Leavitt's arrival.

To be clear, I'm not saying they should not hire him as HC based on what I said, only that I think they will not hire him as HC based on what I said. You have to admit it would be a bold, risky move that could subject everyone involved to intense scrutiny. That's not USF's M.O. So... you want to take the bet? Take the bet! Donate the winnings to IPF!

I’m not saying I think we are this bold but fortuna favors the bold. My response if I’m MK would be “maybe that this room is now filled with people asking this question and we were having press conferences regularly with four reporters may have something to do with this decision. We needed to interject excitement into the program and if the fans react half as well as you fine folks have we have done just that.” As for the bet I’m closer to taking it than anytime in the past 10 years and for that I am grateful.

The only guarantee is that there is no guarantee regardless who ends up coaching Edited December 7, 2019 by NewEnglandBull

It is better to be talked about than laughed at under the CCS era. Literally announcers made fun of the decisions of personnel , clock management, and play calling. 4 hours ago, Triple B said: The real question is is your lawn at the IPF or at the soccer field? If he loses, then we probably will never want him back ever again.
