Great teams win conferences; still waiting for the day we hoist our first trophy.  As big of a school we are and with all the talent we've had we should have 1/2 a dozen trophies by now ...overall, I'd say at best we are an average team in a below average conference.

Well the good news is that we will be doing away with the divisional format in the AAC. Not sure if that will make it easier or tougher for USF to at least finish in the top two which qualifies for the AAC title game

He turns 63 on Wednesday.

So if he were to come back, we can probably expect about six or seven regular seasons of 7-5 or 8-4, never finishing higher than third in the conference. Some years we would win the Military Bowl, while others we would lose the Birmingham Bowl.  But I guess compared to what we just endured with Charlie Weak, that is a huge step up for this program.

Bring on the mediocrity!!

Yeah going to be a lot of tiebreakers used to get the two teams

Forgot about the age. That’s another factor too.

Good news?  A Jim Leavitt coached team never finished higher than 3rd place in Conference USA or the Big East.  But hey, we pulled upsets every now and again.  Maybe someday there will be a trophy for that.

That is why we should bring in Larry Scott as the head coach in waiting. We get to right the wrong that USF did years ago by firing Leavitt while we groom the next HC lifer for USF whenever Leavitt retires

Question is would Leavitt leave when he is suppose to? Remember that happening at FSU.

Good point lol. That could go very badly for that Leavitt legacy.
