Point of order... He won 9 games 3 times. We were 9-2 our last year as an independent, playing a mostly CUSA schedule.  Do you know why there was heartbreak? Because there was hope, expectations, and something real to play for.

Supposedly Ole Miss and Arkansas are after Lane Kiffin so he's probably out here, which I'm happy about.

Have you been around the past two years? We are bottom of AAC program.  Only a couple of highs over last decade. We would be lucky if the Clemson guys want the job.  Not saying they will succeed but I'll take coaches from the team that has knocked off Bama over anyone else out there. And the hell with all you CJL and CWT lovers 🍻.

So he thinks we are replacing CCS  with the CCS of a lower conference? What could go wrong?

I’m all seriousness, it’s very similar to a CCS deal here. He took over a program and roster than Campbell built, maintained it for a couple of years, and then they sharply declined. Candle shouldn’t even be on the list. If we are going the “cheap” route, give me Larry Scott.

With my green and gold glass I couldn’t see any of that messy stuff you said about being in the basement of the AAC

Does anyone seriously think we were an option for Kiffin? That’s the most insane thought I’ve heard in this whole process. More insane than the notion that firing Strong was impossible.
