Just now, Roaming Bull said:

You should send coach a brochure for Puc corp’s seminar on “learning how to be introspective”.

He is on our email blast but our open rate from him is about as disappointing as his results.

A class response from a young man who accepts responsibility. He will continue to mature but is off to a good start. Hope he gets the support he deserves!

Apology fully accepted! Now, if we can get an apology from his English professor, we can really make some progress.

Athletes don’t take classes. Didn’t you see UNC?

Gonna disagree here. He’s hometown, he’s a Tampa Boy. He knows he can do better. I accept his apology. This , people,  in my opinion,  is the beginnings of  accountability.

I have to agree with your disagreement.  Thank you for the apology, but actions speak louder than words.

Is he in the weight room today?  Is anyone analyzing film from yesterday?

If seen my share of apologies from past and current players over the past years, but I want results.  I give him an A for responsibility, an F for grammar and a C for on-field play.

Was he set up to fail?  Yes.  Did he make progress throughout the year?  Maybe a little.

I'll give him credit for stepping up publicly, but honestly, I'm not sure he's the quarterback of the future.

A college athlete performing their job to their abilities should not have to apologize for anything.  It's the coaching.

This young man is a class act.  He's attempting to take responsibility of the on field lack of performance.  Not his place to apologize.  I wish him success in all he does and especially on the field success in 2020.

It’s kind of messed up that he publicly blamed the marketing department for holding him back, I mean we know they aren’t great but they probably are trying their best too

We've been giving them heck for years so it's okay.

In all fairness to them it’s pretty hard to market “come watch you Usf bulls get curb stomped by some team you have never heard of before, while sitting in silence surrounded by 50 of your closest friends spread out  in a 65k person stadium so that you can hear our uninspired coaching staff be surprised that the team is once again shockingly unprepared for the game.”

“In my mind, I’m kind of like, ‘OK, excuses over'. We know what we need to do. We’ve got the right team together, and now we move forward, and we’ll evaluate and be accountable to each other, including myself, from this point forward.”

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

    Terry Lucas, 09/26/22
