I hear ya but I don’t see how Kelly sells this product In the offseason to the alumni, fans, students and casual Tampa Bay Area  sports fan.  He apparently has or will lose some diehards, ie BDYZR, Faza, CR and others who won’t renew or downgrade their tickets if Chuckles is brought back.  It will be the least anticipated most depressing offseason in our history.  There will be absolutely nothing to point towards a turn around in 2020.  Incoming freshmen and some transfers and a couple of new assistants won’t suffice.

It takes nothing for the AD to come out and say we had a string of bad luck/injuries/yada yada and Strong is my guy. The longer this goes, the more I think they may legit be looking at how to take the next step post-strong.

As @CousinRicky said I am sure they are running the numbers for payoff vs. number of dollars lost if he returns.

Was what happened yesterday some sort of surprise? How could anything that happened yesterday have had ANY impact on the decision that he needed more than 5 minutes after the whistle? The fact that he isn't already gone means he was never gone.

Maybe Kelly was thinking if we beat ucf he was staying regardless. Maybe the money to fire was not there before Saturday. Maybe the new president finally got involved. Who knows? My guess is that he says.
