Barnett is better than McCloud. Way better. Last year Barnett's QBR was 43.6. good for 102 in country. This year McCloud's QBR 41.9. good for 99 in country apologists will always find an excuse for failure I believe our O-line is the same with the exception that instead of 3 freshman starting there are 3 sophomores. Barnett did not have to play against top 15 Wisconsin last year. Also, for whatever reason the AAC is way better this year. We have played like 6 top 30 teams(including Wisconsin) this year... It's funny you didn't address any other of my points. What major points would you like for me to specifically address?

McCloud is a Freshman, and hasn't had much supportaround him this year. Its hard to project how good he is or how good he could become with the right tutelage and the much better pieces around him. I know we have pretty decently rated QBs coming in next season as Freshmen. Maybe one of them will blow us away and take the reigns of this team. But to be fair, Barnett did play a pretty good game against G-Tech last year....i thought it was his best game really. Thats why I was suprised how badly it all turned out for him and us. Horne had 3 Touchdowns.

You lefty types always want to put someone in a box. Nowhere did I even come close to being an apologist. Fact is a fact. Over the long haul BB at this time is better than JM. Tom Brady would suck behind our OL. They were awful in their best game of the year.

Maybe one of them will blow us away and take the reigns of this team. we had 5 returning o-linemen. a WR who was offered by alabama, michigan. a potential NFL TE. a RB who started at UF as a freshman. Personally I think McCloud did as well as he could in this system and I think he can develop just fine. Problem is people want the next great USF QB and they want him now. Not willing to give time to develop. there is always some great QB waiting in the wings at USF. I'll believe it when I see it. What could have happened that we don't realize that would have made this season much different? Could he be referring to: Ford being suspended an unknown reason for the Blake Barnett injury the OL was mysteriously better during the spring and weekly practice he's just trying to buy time It all goes back to the OL in my mind. Besides Mayes, this OL is the same as 2018. I could tell you what these things are, but then they'd be things people do realize and this would just be another Fire CCS thread. You might as well tell us.. Its not like you are going to ruin anybody's day. Everybody is pretty much in a foul mood already about this season anyway. How much more damage could your revelations really do?
