This is where I would walk away from USF football, he stole recruits, talked **** about us on the way out, was a terrible gameday coach who needed his hs coach to save his ass, this guy is a used car salesman not a coach

He'd need to publicly apologize, get paid peanuts (due to buyout) and have a $5 mill per year remaining to payout if he goes elsewhere.  Then, maybe.

The trash talking was his style, but don't talk bad about where you were and expect to be able to come back.

Again, he’s the only FHC we’ve had that we never fired. He left us a better program than he inherited, It’s time to bring him back.

How was our defense?  You know that head coaches are responsible for both, right?

Taggart indeed was responsible for hiring the horrible Chuck Bresenahan. Then he got us Tom Allen for a year, who produced an incredible defense. Allen leaves for Indiana (and they had a relatively great 2019) and Willie chose Raymond freaking Woodie as the replacement.

If we could have paired the Allen’s defense with Willie’s final year offense, we would have been unstoppable.

If Willie does return, we need to make DC our top staffing priority.

EDIT: I still don’t want Willie back, but if we do go that route, we need contractual guarantees that he sticks around for 5+ years this time, lest he pay us a sizeable buy out.

“ ‘Coach, we can’t wait to get back to No. 2 again!’ Taggart said.

“I’m like, you were No. 2 for a week.”

yall want this clown back?

He’s proven to be spineless and will ditch us ASAP when other jobs come calling.

Fool me once, fool me twice.

Approved.

What people dont understand every SINGLE coach will have an issue or two. Willie has some play call issues. Do people think these other coaches would be these perfect godsends?

He WANTS to be here and if we can get a deal that puts his money where his mouth is I say lets do it.

His offense did nothing, he was shown the door if he kept it .  The Gulf Coast spread stuff was not his.  Second to that all the statistics being brandished were against nobodies.  His lack of coaching talent was exposed at Oregon and FSU.  The smartest thing he did was hire Leavitt.

Good Lord, just stop already.  All you had to say was you don't like the guy.

I will tell you one thing about CWT. He already knows how to make the offense work at USF as long as he finds the recruits. He already knows that trying to implement a pro style offense is gonna set a coach up to fail at USF.  So he at least has the USF experience factor going for him.
