He loves offensive schemes that have the word pro in it this alone should exclude him but in case that’s not enough he was getting paid $7.5 million more than we can afford if we buy CCS out.

Most of the decent OCs at P5 programs are going to be more than we can afford or are willing to pay.

Unless things got out of hand this year we should be substantially more than the first handful of coordinators, which should keep people more engaged than a 75% pay cut.

No thanks. Idk what happened to Taggart, but he’s not the same guy that he was in Tampa. He looks like a scared puppy on the sidelines in Tallahassee

Watch the end of the USF @ SMU game when QF had his first start and Mike White came in at the end. You might notice him trying to call a time out we didn't have.

So you're saying that anything under the top 10 assistants salaries should be a bargain.

I’m saying $2 million should be enough for them to consider and be engaged. Where as going from $7.5 to $2 million gets the type of engagement we have now become used to.

Keep in mind, whoever we hire has to get paid his salary and CCS. So that when we hire Jim Leavitt and give him a raise to $2 million, that costs us $4.5 million for the next couple years.

For CJL that would be a bargain

we are paying Strong $5M this year.

an article from a week or so ago about our situation.

USF – The Charlie Strong era is in the balance, and it’s hard not to forecast another ugly ending to this season. Strong lost six straight to end last year. USF (3-3) will be an underdog in five of its final six games, including a grueling closing stretch – Temple, Cincinnati, Memphis and at UCF. USF would owe Strong north of $5 million to fire him, which is a daunting amount of money for an AAC school. A strong finish is important, especially against UCF considering that’s how the Bulls are measured locally. In terms of replacements, it would be an ideal market for USF to open, as it’d be one of the most attractive jobs available: “This is a better job than Boston College and Rutgers,” an industry source said.
