If an unrated QB that walked on here after having no serious offers from any school of note and has been beaten out all summer and fall by two QBs that could only manage to lead this offense to 112th out of 130th can't save us, who can? Maybe we can move down to DII and give our coach and QB a fighting chance at the level they belong.

The same could be said for Rygol. At least he hits his targets in stride. Now whether or not our receivers can catch is a different story.

You know you’re a bad football team when we are discussing fundamentals.

(Narrator voice) Can our walk on QB throw a football? Can our “D1” WRs catch a football? Will our OL finally get in the way of someone? Tune in this Saturday for the next episode of Walking Dead ft. Charlie Strong

Impressive highlights. Some of those offensive plays look similar to what we run, except that they actually execute. Hopefully he is the piece that's been missing. I don't think we're as far away from being good on offense as some think.

When Seth at the TDS breaks down the film, you can see guys open left and right...the qb play just hasn't been there...

There are many stories in CFB where the walk on has saved the day. Hell its happened against us a few times. It would be nice to see it happen for us for once................ You may now begin your redundant diatribe about KB starting....now...

People remember these things because they are the exceptions and stand out in the crowd, no one goes around telling the stories about the blue chip prospect leading the team to victory or the walk in coming in an looking like he was projected to look because that's not outstanding and is what actually happens 99 times out of 100.

I get your point, but the part about no one telling the story about blue chips is false. How many times have we heard that Trevor Lawerence was a phenom coming out of HS? Same with Justin Fields this year. Heck, look how long the blue chip status has hung around Blake Barnett. The blue chip narrative is spoken everywhere. Even the whole “UF transfer Jordan Cronkrite” thing that we laugh about, the only reason they are saying that is they want to get across the point that this guy was a bigger recruit than you might think.

Except that when a 5 star doesn't pan out that's what stands out and when a walk on does work out that is what stands out, they are the exceptions that prove the rule. Not all 5 stars will pan out and not all walk ons will be busts but the, the likelihood of both happening are far more likely than the inverses.

Face facts. We have nothing left to lose. Play the **** walk-on. He may or may not be the best QB on the roster but, he's clearly the healthiest.

Only because he has played the least; KB will have him dead by the end of the game too.
