First, let's become bowl eligible.

Second, a BCS bowl likely means we get waxed. (But I still like the idea of being BE champs)

Third, a secondary bowl (Gator?) might be more winnable.

Fourth, let's just beat Pitt for now ...

Nam37, the reason we talk about it is because we are "in" the current Bowl Projections by various media outlets.  Plus its fun and makes the week more interesting.

Why are we talking about this?

Pat Julmiste will still be our starting QB...

OK so riddle me this.... if we beat both WVU and UL, and then end up losing to some other team like UConn, would UL still be chosen over us?

The tiebreaker rules can be found at http://bigeast.collegesports.com/sports/m-footbl/bige-m-footbl-body.html

Short version:

If USF is tied with ONLY Louisville, USF goes. Head-to-head is the #1 tiebreaker.

If USF is tied with Louisville and one other team, the bid goes to (a) the team that swept the other two in the tie, or (B) the highest-ranked team of the three.

If USF is tied with Louisville and two other teams, they make a mini-conference out of the four teams. If one of them went 3-0 in the group, that team goes. If two teams went 2-1 in the group, the winner of the game between those teams gets the BCS invitation.
