Let’s pretend that goes exactly the way you predict, what number are we closer to?

They are going to get a raise, that raise will make them closer to us, we too got a raise that made us higher but hardly moved the needle in our distance from the P5 teams.

No they won’t be closer to us. They were actually higher under the old contract. We have increased our value they have not (relative to inflation).

They are going to get more money than they are getting when they get there new contract and comparing our current round contract to their previous round one is not reasonable even if it’s only a million dollar distance.

We get 7 mil per team. They will get 2 mil per team. 7-2= 5. We make more money. End of story...

Didn’t say we weren’t going to make more money but let’s say they make 1 million a year from their current contract but will make 2 or 3 with there new one, comparing our new contract to their old one just because ours expired a year earlier is not a fair comparison.

But what I am saying is that their new one is no more than 2.3.

Which is more or less than their current contract?

It’s more but less than 10%. AAC increase was about 80%.

So comparing something that has increased to something that you know has not yet increased but will would be fair or not fair?

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.

“In my mind, I’m kind of like, ‘OK, excuses over'. We know what we need to do. We’ve got the right team together, and now we move forward, and we’ll evaluate and be accountable to each other, including myself, from this point forward.”
