Like the total post, dare to call out the three wins (based on today)?

Navy, ECU, Temple would be the most likely scenario. Lose to Navy, then I'm not sure where that third win comes from. Depends on where our offense is 4-5 weeks from now....

As the season is developing, I would say any game on the schedule is winnable. The coaches have to build on the energy and intensity of today's team. I think every game could come down to how the coaching staff preps the team and themselves.

Personally, I think the offense can be dynamic with the right players. We need bigger receivers if we are going to be effective on the outside, downfield throws.

I am also not sold on McCleod yet, but he deserves time to develop before judgement is passed.

I think I know what the replies to this will look like....

We are staring at 5-7. I just can't see "W" number 6.

This team last year folds after being down early...I thought the game was over after the McCloud pick...this team is building character

Yeah this is all nice but QF was never a good passer and Mccloud won't be either . Thats just the way it is .

I think McCloud throws the ball far better than QF ever did.  He played this game with an injured wrist, and it showed.  But he had the maturity to tell the coaches they needed to rely more on the run game.  He showed leadership.

No way we win this game earlier this season. We've definitely made progress since GT. We have something resembling competence on the OL now, and it's really nice to see an actual running game.  Bowl eligibility looks possible now.  As fans, we should learn to relax and let things play out, as the comments early on were: "We're the worst coached team in football", "Cronkrite not impressive". Now we're all cheering because of the win, and Cronkrite goes for 150+. Also had people trashing McCloud, who I think will be fine. Remember, Flowers wasn't all that great early on. That was a fun game, and we're heading in the right direction.

Well said! Thank you for posting this as I’m feeling the same too about the state of the program. GT was lucky to win that game but we got stronger since that game so I’m proud of them. I have faith in KB and I’m sure his offense will be good during second half of this season. It is all about finding the right pieces:

Temple looks solid. We will know a lot more after they play UCF. I hope they beat UCF and we manage a win versus them. I am actually looking forward the Thursday night game.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
