The main contract with USF is known. They cannot hide that due to the Sunshine laws. What is unknown is what is in the 2nd deal with the USF Foundation.

This was Scott Frost's UCF contract. Wonder if he got the $200,000 National Title bonus?

This states his buyout is 2.5 mil before contract ends and drops to 1.7 mil next year.  Thats more do -able than the 5 mil plus people have been saying...unless the Foundation piece is a part of this and not being reported.

Correct this is not including the foundation amount.

That's if Strong leaves and had he won big again in 18 I suspect he would have been gone-which would have been good with me since it means we have more money to hire our next coach.

Even now, I still hope he goes on a big run and wins 9-10 games this year because that at least starts fixing the narrative set at the start of the year. I just don't think he will.

We're all assuming there is a foundation amount at this point.  If it is a private foundation and we don't have access, aren't we going by someone stating on this board that it exists?

I’d be willing to bet that the ultra secret “foundation contract” has more to do with bonuses, personal perks, personal service agreements, etc.

There’s no way his base is much more than 2.5-3 a year based on past hires, and that’s pretty much what’s in the public contract.

that is the $ he would have to pay us if he was hired away.

that's not the amount we would owe him if we fired him.

It's been reported that the side deal in the USF foundation contract has an increased buyout by Joey Knight. The fanboys over at TDS also have said they have been told as much by people within athletics.

It doesn't take a detective to figure out CCS's contract is more or less guaranteed. His contract with Texas was fully guaranteed. Do you think he changed agents and business practices? The way Harlan signed that deal, CCS made the same $5 million whether he coached USF or sat at home for 2 years. So it only makes sense that CCS is going to sign a deal like that unless he gets something out of it.

Recall CCS was also interviewing with Temple when he was fired by Texas so I imagine Harlan gave CCS whatever he wanted. Harlan also probably knew that if that deal became public, he was toast and I wouldn't be surprised if he knew he was halfway out the door anyway.  It happened incredibly fast.  SO basically CCS signed for 3 more years at roughly $2.5 million. That is already spent money.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
