That's because he is only getting $2.5 million this year. The bowl years he got $5 million.

CCS contract per year.

2017 & 2018: $4 million Texas, $1 million USF each year

2019: $2.5 million USF

2020: $2.6 million USF

2021: $2.7 million USF

Is there a link to this?  I didnt think there was anything definitively published.

If true, no matter what the final record is this year, we really may have no choice but to keep him through next year.

I would say it’s a little more than conjecture as most comments by those who have some idea are saying $5.2 left on the contract...give or take a few dollars. Most certainly there is no way he is being paid $1mil a year.
