Stadium on Campus

the situation with the City of Orlando & Citrus Bowl (told UCF to vacate for '05 and '06 because they were going to "upgrade" the Citrus Bowl) forced UCF into the situation we are today.

maybe we need to force ourselves to get this campaign going.. a stadium isnt going to build itself on campus

That general info...plus the situation with the City of Orlando & Citrus Bowl (told UCF to vacate for '05 and '06 because they were going to "upgrade" the Citrus Bowl) forced UCF into the situation we are today.

Something don't add up.  Why would the Citrus Bowl force its only tenant to go some place else for two yrs?  And secondly, aren't the Knights playing in the CB this season?  Was the upgrade postponed or canceled?

 USF and UCF are both very similar institutions, so whatever worked for you guys may very well work for us

No were not in similar situations.

1. We have Ray Jay they have the shitrus bowl.

2. We have responsible administrators who have demonstrated great focus and foresight in developing an athletic program. We have been able to add football without going broke and without too much sacrifice of our other athletic programs. The well developed basketball program was one of our key assets getting into the big east. Meanwhile the folks at UCF have already demonstrated the ability to go broke and to get way in debt with poor planning. When they added football they had the same grand type of plans they are talking about now and it cost them. They ignored their basketball program and it cost them.

We are not in the same situation. Sure we dont have an OCS but we dont have the shitrus bowl either.

Why dont you bring up how lucky UCONN is again.... :

dude, that would be badass!  i like the idea of having 2 buildings integrated into 1.. a dorm/stadium/dining hall/library... it would be your one-stop shop for all your collegiate needs!
