 From Katherine Smith of Spectrum Sports,  BREAKING: The @PlantFootball Panthers will be without HC Robert Weiner Friday night vs. district foe Steinbrenner. Coach Weiner's been suspended by the FHSAA. He has an appeal scheduled for next week. We'll have an interview with Coach Weiner tomorrow.

Its kind of shocking really.....0-5!  I guess this is the year for all their rivals to get their revenge.

Not sure what is going on with the Weiner situation.  Probably some kind of recruiting violations.  Probably nothing different than what they do at places like Armwood.  I'm a Plant fan, but I think people are tired of them dominating, and are looking to find a way to cut them down a few notches.  Will be interesting to find out the details of what is happening with this.

Article in Times about it today. Wasn't recruiting but about taking care of one of his own players. Had no idea they were 0-5 but as an RHS grad, hard to feel sorry but with hearing story, hope they win the rest.

As an RHS grad, I actually hope you guys finally get your revenge on Plant, its been a while.  And Plant ain't going anywhere this year obviously.

The story seems pretty harmless.  Sounds like he was trying to actually help out the kid in this situation.....Now I wouldn't be surprised if there are some other shenanigans that are going on behind the scenes with schools like Plant and Armwood.  I know Weiner is a good coach, but its odd that Plant was just average, and then all of a sudden they became great (this season not withstanding).
