didn't say anything about writing him off. he could end up a great college QB.

just don't think there is an easy solution(other then firing the coach) to this mess. it's not as simple as replacing some starters

Firing Strong is not the answer...we will be starting from scratch...again.  No one wants to coach here long term unless there's a connection to the university.  We fired the only coach that truly wanted to be here for life.

we have lost 9 fbs games in a row. firing strong is the only answer.

I don't care about coaches who want to be here forever. I care about coaches who win.

if Leavitt had success enough to move on to a better job then he would have. we can't compete with the big boys on salary

Give me a coach that wins that eventually will be poached then a loser that we eventually have to fire.

exactly. the goal is to win. not to keep a coach forever.

any program could keep a loser coach forever.

We're looking like we will do that. Or at least 2 more years.

If we don't fire him there may not be anything left to scratch.

Even with Matt Grothe our best offensive plays looked like busted plays where he didn't have much protection. Highlights of 2006 PItt Game.
