My kids have no idea what a chalkboard is or how to clean the eraser.  Same for typewriter or even typing correctly.

I am not sure if this complicates the metaphor, but now corporations have moved to dry erase paint walls, which no one ever erases and it creates a filthy wall.  This is something they do to encourage "collaboration" and desperately try to attract millennials.

My students can’t even write in script...
