Leavitt will never coach at USF again. Just stop it.

I'm not against a "retread" as a rule but CWT is not a championship caliber coach IMO.  Never won a championship or even a bowl game.  Yes he improved our team greatly, but X's and O's he is not a top coach, NFL players and HS coaching.  So he comes back and as a coach who is primarily a recruiter and motivator, just older and having been knocked out a few times - not even at the top of that game.

Its a very similar story to Strong.  Mostly mediocrity surrounded by a couple years with a great QB.  Maybe he is more likely to recruit that next great QB but its a little harder sell the second time around.

Agree 100%. CWT was willing to change and could excel as a late career Bobby Bowden type coach. Great PR face of the program and recruiter if he can find great coordinators.

He will. He has a couple wins now, probably get enough more for this season now.

Guest Jonesy Bull

Doesnt make much sense to go backwards......he would leave us again when the P5 comes calling.....i do think gets another year at FSU anyway.  They look to be improving.

Get an up and coming OC guru from high profile P5 program if u can.  Kelly time to use your connections bud.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
