Assuming McCloud remains our starter, I think it gives us a fighting chance against BYU and Navy. We will still be outmatched by the last 4 opponents on the schedule. 6-6 and a trip to a toilet bowl seems possible.

Agreed. This is why you play lesser teams to start the year instead of a ranked team that runs like a machine. Figure it out, get comfortable with your roles, and build momentum. Slow the roll, sure, we're not going to be world-beaters but they did start to click and it was fun to see. Much more hope for a few W's now.

This is 100% correct. We should open with an easy game (does not necessarily have to be FCS team) to work out the kinks. This will always be an issue going forward (so don’t bring up the ND game) because as a G5 team coaching turnover (both head and assistants) will always be rampant. Games 2, 3, and/or 4 can be against a big time team.

kept looking at this (hypnotic lol), but the assessment is just too harsh. They have a long way to go no doubt, but they started doing a number of things right last night and in a few cases opened up some pretty holes (ie the untouched Ford TD). Hopefully they'll keep moving in that direction and can turn this picture into nothing but dudes giving high-fives.

Let’s use the bye week and keep moving in a positive direction! 

Agreed and...the players were having fun and many experiencing their first college football moments. Let them savor the feeling of winning for a time. Hopefully with the bye week some of the things can get improved upon and players shuffled. It was just nice to win one maybe were on our way to winning two....
