The defense seems adept at getting them. I get that it's FCS but 6 turnovers is nothing to sneeze at. 

Perhaps this team's identity is a turnover forcing team that gives a developing offense opportunities to score on short fields. I hope that's the case.

Keep things in perspective. We’re not playing Bama, and couldn’t get these kinds of turnover vs gtech. Yes there is reason to be optimistic, but let’s get these kinds of results vs an FBS level team before we talk about turning a corner, identities, bowls games, or any of that stuff.

We forced 2 fumbles vs WISC and forced 1 fumble and had 1 interception vs GT. What do you mean lets get these results vs an FBS level team?

We should get a turnover or two per game, at least. This game is an exception and doesn’t prove or make a rule. I still don’t think we have enough of body of work to prove this is an identity. Is the defense improved, yes it does look that way. Does this team have an identity, no.

The fumbles are a record, but there were some ridiculous defensive performances in 2007. I think we had like 8 against WVU.

This is a huge boost for the team. Did you see how they actually looked like they were having fun... they were balling... and this is an FCS opponent worrh respecting. No matter how you slice it 8 turnovers is not normal. It's a job well done.
