I’m with you.  My point is watching the game phases is important and the O line would be graded a D vs a nobody team.

Atterbury is God awful and Norman was pulled for poor performance.  Wilcox has been non existent with exception of his two balls last night.

I’m a KB fan but the offense lives and dies by line play.  Nice to win last night, but the level of competition was much how Wisconsin views us, nobody.

What will be tough for Jordan besides the poor OL play will be that teams will have more film to be able to find his weaknesses. They are going to make him stay in the pocket and see if his arm is accurate enough for the whole game. What I saw last night is his passes have more touch than QF even had. He can’t run as well as QF but don’t think many other QBs had the ability of QF. I think Jordan has the arm but you can see he was a little off on some passes last night with over throws which I just think these are freshman jitters that can be corrected in time. Think many forget about Marquel Blackwell which he may be had one of the best accurate arm in USF history. If Jordan turns out like MB then we are gonna be one of hell of a team very soon

So my daughter’s AAU squad is playing a team tonight who they will destroy.  The 9, 10 and 11 kids will look like world beaters.

McCloud played a solid game vs South Carolina Nobody.  To bestow upon him the next QF and the savior of USF football is ridiculous.

But to give him little credit is also ridiculous...

I agree Bausfkid. McCloud played well last night against a nobody.  Let’s not make him the next Groethe or Flowers yet. One thing he seems to have is that “it factor”. The offense, including a confused and underperforming o-line seems to be playing better when McCloud is in the game.

But this is the game he needed to shake out game-speed jitters--I don't want to think of what it could have done to him to play Wiscy. He was much more comfortable toward the end, so you could tell he was figuring it all out. Good accuracy, doesn't telegraph throws, knows he can't stand still, good running skills--yes, he is the type of QB that fits best at USF.

Yea I see some big upside with him.  We know the o-line isn't good so we need to be more creative in our running game..and figure out ways to get our running backs in open space.

What impresses me most about him is how well he uses his eyes to manipulate the safeties (great job holding the safety the Wilcox TD up the seam) and reads the defense. You can see him going through his progressions and staying in the pocket when the OL actually provides one. This was a FCS team and there will be growing pains but he does some things impressively well for a young QB.

Let’s keep in mind that SC State is probably better than UConn was last year and UConn went toe to toe with us.

I just hope a lot of you realize that this kid as a freshman, and if we don’t win 9, 10, or 11 games this year that’s OK. I’m sure we’ll see growth, and I’m sure we’ll have a lot of excitement going into Black Friday.

I'm sure we'll see growth too, but I'm decidedly UNsure I'll have anything but anxiety going into Black Friday at this point. ;)

We barely win this game if Blake had started...

As of right now I am dreading Black Friday, and I am most likely going to watch the game from the comfort of my living room this year.  No way I can stomach being in Spectrum Stadium this season.
