If McCloud gets some serious time I think you are right.  

The offense has looked way better with McCloud running it, with our defense that looks improved we could do ok in the conference if this team stays mostly healthy.

I mean, it is South Carolina State.  We should "get right" against them, but we need long term success and it has to start somewhere.
